Game Without Rules
Initially this artwork was commissioned as a temporary installation for a Seattle Art Museum Fundraising Event, Party at the Park.
Following the Party, the installation components were configured into a wall installation.
The grid panels are individually created based upon a maritime chart of the PNW coast, and represent the "game board". Game pieces are small individual sculptures created from copper, glass, thread, wood, and metal building. Other elements include a variety of dice, sculptures using level-bubbles and small hourglasses.
The "game" offers no instructions, referring to the chaos of recent environmental stewardship of our beautiful region.
